Stanford at Washington 9/24/22- College Football Picks & Predictions

The Washington Huskies will welcome the Stanford cardinal to Husky stadium on Saturday for a week four matchup. Stanford comes into week three of the year following a 13 point loss to USC last week. Offensively Stanford moved the ball well totaling 441 yards to score 28 points in the game but four turnovers led to the loss.

Quarterback Tanner McKee orchestrated the Stanford offense completing 20 of 35 passes for 220 yards and one score. E.J. Smith led the way on the ground for Stanford totaling 88 yards and one touchdown on 19 carries and Casey Filkins chipped in 77 yards and one touchdown on 16 carries as well.

The Washington Huskies will play their fourth home game of the season on Saturday rolling through the year undefeated and ranked number 18 in the nation. Washington dominated Michigan State in their last game after compiling 503 yards to score 39 points in the game.

Michael Penix Jr. flourished against Michigan State completing 24 of 40 passes for 397 yards and four scores. Cameron Davis led the way for Washington with 69 yards rushing and one touchdown on 17 carries and Ja’Lynn Polk was the primary target for Washington with 153 yards and three touchdowns on six receptions.

The Washington Huskies are rolling through the season and will continue that trend Saturday against a mediocre Stanford team. Washington has a deeper more talented roster and will thrive in front of their home fans. Take Washington to do enough Saturday to improve to 4-0 following a win and cover.
