South Alabama at Georgia Southern 11/5/22 - College Football Picks & Predictions

The South Alabama Jaguars continue a road trip this week with a visit to Statesboro, GA to take on the Georgia Southern Eagles. South Alabama comes into this week playing well with six wins through their first eight games played following a 28 point win against Arkansas State on Saturday. Defensively South Alabama controlled the game holding Arkansas State to only three points on 158 yards in the game.

The South Alabama offense was dominant with more than 350 yards in the game to score 31 points leading to the easy win. Quarterback Carter Bradley dominated under center completing 17 of 24 passes for 179 yards and one score and ran the ball four times for 17 yards as well. La’Damian Webb led all ball carriers in the game with 162 yards and three scores on 28 carries. Jalen Wayne added 83 yards and one touchdown on three receptions to lead the way for the Jaguars.

The Georgia Southern Eagles return home this week with five wins through eight games played riding a two game win streak after a 5 point win against Old Dominion. Defensively Georgia Southern struggled a bit allowing 446 yards and 23 points but held Old Dominion to only three third down conversions leading to the victory.

Offensively Georgia Southern controlled the game accumulating 415 yards including 223 on the ground to score 28 points in the game after seven in each quarter. Kyle Vantrease continued to roll as the Georgia Southern quarterback completing 22 of 27 passes for 192 yards and one touchdown. Jalen White ledall ball carriers in the game with 138 yards and one score on 30 carries.
