In Big Ten Conference action, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights will visit Memorial Stadium to take on the Indiana Hoosiers. The Scarlet Knights started the season off with a 27-point victory versus UMASS, but have lost four straight games. On Saturday, Rutgers was gashed for 490 total yards during a 48-7 home loss versus Maryland.
Starting QB Art Sitkowski and RB Raheem Blackshear both did not play, after asking interim head coach Nunzio Campanile not play them in an effort to redshirt this season. Isaih Pacheco rushed for 78 yards on 19 carries for the Scarlet Knights.
The Indiana Hoosiers have won three of their first five games overall, but have lost both conference games. Last time out, Indiana failed in their upset bid during a 40-31 road loss against Michigan State. The Hoosiers tied the game with two minutes to go on a 11-yard touchdown pass from Michael Penix Jr. to Whop Philyor.
Indiana was outgained by a 442-356 margin and allowed the Spartans to score on a fumble recovery on the final play of the game. Philyor caught 14 passes for 142 yards and two scores in a losing effort for the Hoosiers.
