Purdue at Penn State 10/5/19 - College Football Picks & Predictions

The Penn State Nittany Lions remain home on Saturday and will host the Purdue Boilermakers. The Nittany Lions are 4-0 on the season and beat up Maryland on the road last week 59-0. QB Sean Clifford threw for 3 touchdowns, 1 interception, and 398 yards. Clifford was also the teams highest rusher for 59 yards on the ground. 

Penn State is the 12th ranked team in the nation and are a four touchdown home favorite this week. The Nittany Lions last played Purdue in 2016 when they won by 32 points. Penn State defense led the way with their shutout last week. The defensive unit eared 3 sacked and 2 interceptions.

The Purdue Boilermakers are riding a two game win streak heading into a hostile Penn State. The Boilermakers lost at home to Minnesota last week 38-31. RB King Doerue led the way on the ground with 94 yards on 20 carries. Purdue lost their starting QB last week which leads to even bigger issues this week. 

The Boilermakers are 1-3 on the season. Purdue beat Vanderbilt this season when they put up 42 points. The Boilermakers have not looked good in any other game and have been fighting injuries all season. Purdue is 0-1 on the road this season.
