Purdue at Iowa 10/19/19 - College Football Picks & Predictions

The Purdue Boilermakers visit Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City, Iowa on Saturday to play a Big Ten showdown against the No. 17 ranked Iowa Hawkeyes. Purdue improved to 2-4 on the second with a 40-14 victory over Maryland. Iowa lost its second straight falling to 4-2 on the season following is 17-12 setback against Penn State on Saturday. Iowa responded with a touchdown with just 2:31 remaining, but Penn State converted two third downs on their next possession to run out the clock. 

Jack Plummer has thrown for 965 yards, seven touchdowns and four interceptions. King Doerue leads all rushers for Purdue with 226 yards and three touchdowns, while David Bell is the leading receiver with 438 yards and three touchdowns. Ben Holt leads Purdue in tackles with 60.

Nate Stanley leads Iowa with 1,511 yards passing, nine touchdowns and four interceptions. The leading rusher for the Hawkeyes is Mekhi Sargent with 329 yards and two touchdowns. The top receiver for Iowa is Ihmir Smith-Marsette with 386 yards and three touchdowns. Kristian Welch leads Iowa in tackles with 47.
