Purdue at Indiana 11/24/18 - NCAA Football Picks & Predictions

Since 1891 Purdue and Indiana have played for the Old Oaken Bucket, a rivalry spanning 120 years. Both teams are also 5-6 and need a win to get bowl eligible, so there is plenty left to play for.

Purdue is a hard team to figure. They have won only five games, but three of those wins came against ranked teams and they blew out Ohio State.

Purdue is led by David Blough, who has passed for 3211 yards, 22 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He has completed 66 percent of his passes. His favorite target is Rondale Moore, who has 1023 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns. Isaac Zico has 648 yards receiving and five scores. DJ Knox leads the running game with 826 yards and eight touchdowns. Moore has 190 yards rushing and one touchdown. Indiana has lost five of its last six games, but several of them have been close. Indiana is 3-2 in games that were decided by less than a touchdown.

Indiana is led by Peyton Ramsey, who has 2530 yards passing, 18 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Stevie Scott has rushed for 1033 yards and nine touchdowns. Ramsey is the second leading rusher with 317 yards and four more touchdowns. Nick Westbrook has 465 yards receiving, and Donavan Hale has 427 yards receiving. Three more players have at least 300 yards receiving for Indiana.

Indiana is averaging 26.9 points and is giving up 30.1. Purdue is averaging 32.3 points and is giving up 27.8. Purdue won last year's game, and Indiana won the previous four.

This Hoosiers team needs one more win to become bowl eligible and think Indiana gets it against rival Purdue this week. Purdue has not been the same the last few weeks and now with Coach Brohm coaching rumors for Louisville - that distraction can't help. Final Score Prediction, Indiana Hoosiers win in upset but grab the points just in case 27-23.
