Oregon at California 10/29/22 - College Football Picks & Predictions

The Oregon Ducks will go back on the road this week for a game in Berkeley, CA against the California Golden Bears. Oregon comes into California ranked #8 in the nation riding a 6 game win streak following a 15 point home win over the number 9 ranked UCLA Bruins. Defensively Oregon struggled a bit as UCLA accumulated 448 total yards, but the Ducks forced one turnover to pick up the double digit victory.

Offensively Oregon was dominant with 548 total yards of offense including 283 through the air to score 45 points in the game following a 31 point first half. Bo Nix had his best game as a Duck completing 22 of 28 passes for 283 yards and five scores and ran the ball eight times for 51 yards as well. Bucky Irving led all ball carriers for Oregon with 107 yards on 19 carries, while Troy Franklin led the way through the air with 132 yards and two touchdowns on 8 receptions as well.

The California Golden Bears return home this week struggling with only three wins through seven games played after losing four of the last five games including three in a row after a 7 point home loss to Washington. Offensively California sputtered with only 306 total yards to score 21 points in the game after being held scoreless in the entire first half.

Quarterback Jack Plummer led the way for the California offense completing 21 of 34 passes for 245 yards and three scores but ran the ball five times for -28 yards as well. J. Michael Sturdivant proved to be the primary target in the Oregon passing game with 140 yards and two scores on 8 receptions, while Maven Anderson added 53 yards and one touchdown on three grabs as well.
