On Saturday January 1, the No 7 ranked Baylor Bears play the No. 8 Ole Miss Rebels in the Allstate Sugar Bowl at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. Baylor finished the regular season 11-2 overall and 7-2 in the Big 12. The Bears defeated the Oklahoma State Cowboys 21-16 in the Big 12 championship game. Baylor scored an average of 32.5 points per game and allowed an average of only 19.2 points per game.

On defense, Terrel Bernard was the leading tackler with 86 and was also the leader in quarterback sacks with 5.5.

Ole Miss finished the regular season 10-2 overall and 6-2 in the SEC finishing second in the West division to SEC Champion Alabama. The Rebels defeated the Mississippi State Bulldogs 31-21 in their final game of the regular season and won each of their last four. Ole Miss scored an average of 35.9 points per game and allowed an average of 25.0 points per game.

Quarterback Matt Corral passed for 3,339 yards with 20 touchdowns and four interceptions. Jerrion Ealy was the leading rusher with 703 yards and five touchdowns, while Snoop Connor rushed for 605 yards and 13 touchdowns. The leading receiver was Dontario Drummond with 924 yards and eight touchdown receptions. On defense, Chance Campbell was the leading tackler with 99 and Sam Williams was the leader in quarterback sacks with 12.5.

While the UNDER is a solid choice, the play is Ole Miss. The Rebels have covered the number in five of their last seven and in six of the last eight bowl appearances. Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral will pressure the Baylor secondary with his dual-threat and scrambling abilities and keep the front seven for the Bears off balance. Baylor has failed to cover the number in four of the last five when playing as the favorite on a neutral field. Final Score Prediction, Ole Miss Rebels win and cover ATS 27-24.
