Ole Miss at Vanderbilt 10/8/22 - College Football Picks & Predictions

The No. 14 ranked Ole Miss Rebels visit FirstBank Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday to play the Vanderbilt Commodores. Ole Miss improved to 5-0 overall and 1-0 in the SEC following its 22-19 victory over the Kentucky Wildcats.  Ole Miss held Kentucky to 328 yards of total offense and forced two turnovers by the Wildcats. Ole Miss scored on a safety when tackling Kentucky quarterback Will Levis in the end zone.

Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart has passed for 810 with five touchdowns and three interceptions. The leading rusher is Queen Shawn Judkins with 535 yards and six touchdowns, while the leading receiver is Malik Heath with 320 yards and three touchdown receptions. On defense, linebacker Troy Brown is the leading tackler with 38. Ole Miss has 16 quarterback sacks and four interceptions.

Vanderbilt dropped to 3-2 overall and 0-1 in the SEC following its 55-3 loss to Alabama a week ago this past Saturday. Vanderbilt was held to 129 total yards of offense and nine first downs, while allowing Alamaba 628 yards of total offense. Vanderbilt scored a field goal late in the first quarterback but would not score again. The Commodores were held to 14 yards net rushing and gave up 400 yards through the air to Alabama.

Quarterback AJ Swann has thrown for 567 yards with six touchdowns and has not been intercepted. Ray Davis is the leading rusher with 402 yards and three touchdowns. Will Sheppard is the leading receiver with 365 yards and seven touchdown receptions. On defense, linebacker Anfernee Orji is the leading tackler with 52. Vanderbilt has seven quarterback sacks and one interception.

Ole Miss is coming off a big win at home over No. 7 ranked Kentucky and will defeat Vanderbilt on the road Saturday, but the play here is UNDER. The UNDER has cashed in 12 of Ole Miss’ last 13 as well as in 11 of the last 16 that Vanderbilt has played head-to-head against Ole Miss. The Ole Miss defense is holding opponents to an average of only 11.8 points per game, and the total is finished under in each of the Rebels last five play it on the road. Final Score Prediction, Ole Miss Rebels win but our best play is UNDER 27-7.
