Last Updated: 11/25/2021 at 8:00 PM ET

One of the longest standing rivalries in college football will take place on Thanksgiving night, when the Ole Miss Rebels invade Davis Wade Stadium to face the Mississippi State Bulldogs. The 12th-ranked Rebels (9-2) have won six of their last seven games and rank fifth in the country in total offense (517.5 ypg). On Saturday, Ole Miss concluded an undefeated home campaign with a 31-17 victory versus Vanderbilt.

Ole Miss QB Matt Corral completed 27 of 36 passes for 326 yards and two touchdowns. RB Jerrion Ealy found the end zone twice on 14 touches and finished with 86 yards from scrimmage.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs have won four of their last five games and rank second nationally in passing offense (390.2 ypg). On Saturday, Mississippi State raced out to a 21-point lead after one quarter and cruised to a 55-10 home victory versus Tennessee State. The 25th-ranked Bulldogs (7-4) rolled up 600 yards of total offense on the night.

Mississippi State QB Will Rogers continued to put up video game numbers with 391 passing yards and five touchdowns. Makai Polk hauled in nine passes for 110 yards and a score for the Bulldogs.

Ole Miss holds a 63-46-6 advantage against Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl, including last season’s 31-24 home victory. Ole Miss RB Jerrion Ealy added fuel to this heated rivalry by referring to Starkville as Stinkville. Ealy won’t care much for the stench after the Bulldogs win at home. Final Score Prediction, Mississippi State Bulldogs win 34-27.
