The Goodyear Cotton Bowl will take place on Wednesday night, when the Oklahoma Sooners and the Florida Gators battle at AT&T Stadium. The sixth-ranked Sooners dropped two of their first three games, but finished the season on a six-game winning streak. In the Big 12 Conference Championship Game, Oklahoma built a 17-point halftime lead and forced three turnovers during a 27-21 victory versus Iowa State.

Oklahoma freshman QB Spencer Rattler completed 22 of his 34 passes for 272 yards and a touchdown. Marvin Mims was on the receiving end of seven passes for 101 yards and a score.

The Florida Gators ranked first in the nation in passing offense (388.4 ypg) led by Heisman Trophy Kyle Trask, who threw for 4,000 plus yards and 43 touchdowns. The seventh-ranked Gators (8-3) were let down by a defense that allowed 28.6 points per game. In the SEC Championship Game, Florida was gashed for 605 yards of total offense during a 52-46 loss against number-one ranked Alabama.

Nay’Quan Wright’s three-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter closed the Alabama lead to 35-31. Kyle Trask threw for 408 yards and three touchdowns in a losing effort for the Gators.

Florida TE Kyle Pitts declared for the NFL Draft after the SEC Championship Game and will not play in this contest. The Gators have not been nearly as high-powered on offense when Pitts was sidelined earlier in the season. Take the Sooners to win and cover. Final Score Prediction, Oklahoma Sooners win and cover ATS 38-31.
