Ohio vs San Diego State 12/19/18 - Frisco Bowl - CFB Picks & Predictions

On December 19, the Ohio Bobcats visit Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas to play the San Diego State Aztecs in the Frisco Bowl. Ohio defeated Akron 49-28 in its final game of the regular season. A.J. Ouellette rushed for 169 yards and a pair of touchdowns while Papi White took over the title as all-time receiving yardage leader for the school. Ohio finished the regular season 8-4.

San Diego lost its final regular season game 31-30 to Hawaii to finish 7-5. Christian Chapman threw for 159 yards and one touchdown, but was replaced by Ryan Agnew who threw for 29 yards and one touchdown for San Diego State. Juwan Washington rushed for 158 yards and two touchdowns in the loss. Ohio quarterback Nathan Rourke has thrown for 2,225 yards with 22 touchdowns and seven interceptions. A.J. Ouellette leads the Bobcats in rushing with 1,143 yards and 12 touchdowns. Papi White leads all receivers with 58 receptions for 897 yards and nine TDs.

San Diego State quarterback Ryan Agnew has thrown for 1,525 yards, 10 touchdowns and five interceptions. Juwan Washington leads all rushers for the Aztecs with 870 yards and 10 touchdowns. The leading receiver for the Aztecs is Fred Trevillion with 22 receptions for 598 yards and three touchdowns.

San Diego State has a strong defense and will make life hard for Ohio’s offense but the Aztecs played poorly the final few games and the quarterback situation is uncertain between Christian Chapman and Ryan Agnew will not help. Ohio is 5-1 over its last 6 and A.J. Ouellette has led the attack with 739 yards rushing and seven TDs over the last five games. Final Score Prediction, Ohio Bobcats win and cover 31-24.
