Ohio State vs TCU 9/15/18 - College Football Picks & Predictions

Two top 15 ranked teams face off on Saturday when the No. 4 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes (2-0) visit AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas to play the No. 15 ranked TCU Horned Frogs (2-0).

Ohio State won its second straight on Saturday crushing Rutgers 52-3. Dwayne Haskins Jr. passed for four touchdowns and the Buckeyes won the 900th game in the football program’s history. Johnnie Dixon caught two touchdown passes from Haskins. Tate Martell the Buckeyes backup quarterback threw one touchdown pass and made a dazzling 47-yard scoring run as well.

TCU improved to 2-0 with a 42-12 win over SMU on Friday in a game that was over early. KaVontae Turpin returned a punt 78 yards for the Horned Frogs for a score and added a scoring catch of 42 yards. TCU did not play well on offense until the second half, but that has been the norm against SMU outscoring the Mustangs 83-14 after halftime the last three games. The Horned Frogs may have been looking ahead to the Saturday game with Ohio State. Dwayne Haskins has thrown for 546 yards, nine touchdowns and one interception as the starting QB for Ohio State. Mike Weber is the leading rusher with 217 yards and three touchdowns, while J.K. Dobbins has 147 yards on the ground and one touchdown. Terry Mclaurin leads all Buckeyes receiver with 172 yards and three touchdowns.

TCU quarterback Shawn Robinson has completed 32 of his 53 passes for 328 yards, four touchdowns and one interception. Robinson leads the team in rushing with 112 yards and three touchdowns. Darius Anderson has 105 yards rushing for the Horned Frogs. The leading receiver is KaVontae Turpin with eight receptions for 111 yards and one touchdown.

Ohio State and TCU have lit up the scoreboards offensively this season after two games, but both teams will be facing their biggest test to date as both have strong defenses. The difference could be the lack of big game experience by TCU signal caller Shawn Robinson. The Buckeyes have plenty of experience and will win but like TCU to cover this big number. Final Score Prediction, Ohio State Buckeyes win but fall short of ATS cover 30-23.
