Ohio State QB Justin Fields completed 22 of his 28 passes for 385 yards and six touchdowns. Trey Sermon followed up a school record rushing performance in the Big Ten Championship Game with 193 rushing yards and a score.

The Alabama Crimson Tide have won 12 straight games this season, while ranking second in the nation in scoring at 48.2 points per contest. In the Rose Bowl, Alabama raced out to a 14-point lead after one quarter and cruised to a 31-14 victory versus Notre Dame. The top-ranked Crimson Tide outgained the Fighting Irish by a 437-375 margin and did not turn the ball over on the afternoon.

Heisman Trophy frontrunner Mac Jones led the Alabama offense with 297 passing yards and four touchdowns. Devonta Smith hauled in seven passes for 130 yards and three scores.

Ohio State is incredibly balanced on offense, averaging 272 yards on the ground and 272 yards through the air. Alabama attacks more through the air and has the skill players to hurt the Buckeyes on the perimeter. The Crimson Tide defense will get enough stops to win and cover.
