Big Ten Conference rivals will clash on Saturday afternoon, when the Ohio State Buckeyes invade East Lansing to take on the Michigan State Spartans. The third-ranked Buckeyes (5-0) are averaging 530 yards of total offense and lead the nation in scoring at 48.8 points per game. On Saturday, Ohio State held Rutgers to 187 yards and forced two turnovers during an easy 49-10 home victory.

RB Miyan Williams rushed for 189 yards on 21 carries and tied an Ohio State record with five rushing touchdowns. Heisman Trophy candidate C.J. Stroud was limited to 154 passing yards and two touchdowns for the Buckeyes.

The Michigan State Spartans won 11 games in head coach Mel Tucker’s first year at the helm, but limp into this game having lost three straight. Last week, Michigan State surrendered 489 yards of total offense during a 27-13 road loss against Maryland. The Spartans (2-3) committed six penalties for 47 yards and allowed the Terrapins to possess the ball for more than 36 minutes in defeat.

Michigan State drew even in the first quarter on a 12-yard touchdown run by Elijah Collins. Payton Thorne threw for 221 yards and an eight-yard touchdown strike to Jayden Reed.
