Ohio at Nevada 1/3/20 - College Football Picks & Predictions

The Famous Idaho Potato Bowl will be played on the Blue Turf, pitting a matchup between the Ohio Bobcats and the Nevada Wolf Pack. The Bobcats won consecutive games to become bowl eligible and rank 22nd in the nation in rushing yards (216.5 ypg). In their last game, Ohio limited winless Akron to just 74 yards of total offense during a 52-3 road triumph.

Senior signal-caller Nathan Rourke threw for 308 yards and four touchdowns. De-Montre Tuggle added 78 yards on the ground for the Bobcats, who rolled up 603 yards of total offense on the night.

The Nevada Wolf Pack (7-5) won three of their last four games to become bowl eligible and own a negative 10.8 scoring differential. Last time out, Nevada rallied for two touchdowns in the final seven minutes to force overtime before falling by a 33-30 final score versus UNLV. The Wolf Pack outgained the Rebels by 47 yards and held a 28-15 advantage in first downs.

Freshman QB Carson Strong completed 33 of his 54 passing attempts for 351 yards and a touchdown. Elijah Cooks caught 12 passes for 151 yards in a losing effort for the Wolf Pack.

This will be the first meeting between the two schools and the advantage goes to Ohio. The Bobcats are led by veteran head coach Frank Solich and have won their last two bowl games by a 68-6 combined score. Take Ohio to win by two touchdowns and cover the spread.
