Ohio at Kent State 10/1/22 - College Football Picks & Predictions

The Ohio Bobcats will visit Dix Stadium in Kent Ohio this week for a matchup with the Kent State Golden Flashes. Ohio comes in to their fifth game of the season 2-2 on the year following a seven point  win on Friday. Defensively Ohio struggled against Fordham as the Rams totaled 640 yards of offense to score 52 points but Ohio held them to only three points in the fourth quarter leading to the victory.

The Ohio offense had their best game of the season with nearly 700 yards of offense to score 59 points including 21 in the fourth quarter. Kurtis Rourke led the way for Ohio completing 41 of 50 passes for 537 yards and four touchdowns and ran the ball 10 times for 45 yards and one score as well. Jacoby Jones posted a team high 104 yards and two scores on 6 receptions.

The Kent State Golden Flashes return home this week with only 1 win on the year following a 17 point loss to Georgia. Offensively Kent State played well racking up 281 yards to score 22 points in the game but turned the ball over one time leading to the loss.

The Golden Flashes used two different quarterbacks in the game combining to complete 15 of 22 passes for 188 yards and one score. Marquez Cooper led all ball carriers for Kent State with 90 yards and one touchdown on 21 carries and Devontez Walker added 106 yards and one touchdown on 7 catches.
