Northern Colorado at San Jose State 8/29/19 - College Football Picks & Predictions

Northern Colorado is one of those teams that could surprise someone if they are not paying attention. The Bears are a team that can really come out like a bear if they are challenged and want to impress people. For proof of that you just have to look to the run the Bears gave to the regular Colorado team and how close the game was before it was finally settled.

When it comes to size the Bears may be outmatched in the game. Yes, the Bears do have some bigger players on the line, but something that has not really been taken into account is most of those bigger players are coming from smaller high schools and were not really recruited heavily.

Is San Jose State asking to much for a win in this game? The answer is probably yes as the team is not that good and only picked up a single win last year. What is even worse is the 122nd ranked offense did not make much in the way of changes. To make matters even worse for the Spartans is they do have a true freshman starting at right guard this year.

Defensively the Spartans may be in trouble as well. The team has 2 new starting linebackers, 2 new corner backs, but also a new nose tackle. What really could be a problem is the nose tackle is not the fire plug style you need to keep the linebackers free, instead he is a 253 pound junior who is tall, but could be pushed around.
