North Texas at Louisiana Tech 9/25/21 - College Football Picks & Predictions

The University of North Texas come into this game after dropping two straight games falling to 1-2 on the year. UNT was on the wrong side of a 40-6 blowout loss in week 3 to UAB. The North Texas Passing game was atrocious combining to go 14-34 through the air for 99 yards one touchdown and one interception.

The only positive from the North Texas offense was on the ground totaling 121 yards on 44 carries as a team. Deandre Torrey led the way for North Texas with 82 yards on 24 carries, while Ikaika Ragsdale shipped in with six carries for 25 yards.

The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs are 1-2 on the year after a heartbreaking 39-37 loss to SMU in week three. The Louisiana Tech rushing attack struggled against SMU with only 132 yards and one touchdown on 30 carries. Marcus Williams Jr. let all ballcarriers with 65 yards on 13 carries, while Austin Kendall added 20 yards and one touchdown on six touches.

Quarterback Austin Kendall through the wall well for 351 yards and four touchdowns on 24-39 through the air. Trey Harris saw the majority of the production with 102 yards and two touchdowns on five receptions against SMU. Samuel Emilus added 57 yards receiving and 1 score.

Neither of these teams has started the year off the way they hoped coming into week 4 with a 1-2 record. Louisiana Tech should win this game based off the better offense but the UNT defense will keep this close. Look for UNT to get a few key stops keeping this game close enough to cover the number.
