North Dakota State at Arizona 9/17/22 - College Football Picks & Predictions

Last Updated: 09/16/2022 at 11:32 AM ET

In Saturday night college football action, the North Dakota State Bison will travel to Arizona Stadium to take on the Arizona Wildcats. The Bison (2-0) are the defending FCS National Champions and have won nine titles in the last 11 seasons. On Saturday, North Dakota State forced three turnovers during an impressive 43-3 home victory versus North Carolina AT&T.

North Dakota State opened the scoring on a 40-yard touchdown pass from Cam Miller to Zach Mathis. Dawson Weber added a 79-yard fumble return touchdown that tied a school record for the Bison.

The Arizona Wildcats started the season off with a road victory against San Diego State and are one of the most improved teams in the country. On Saturday, Arizona committed three turnovers during a 39-17 home loss versus Mississippi State. The Wildcats (1-1) were outgained by a 426-316 margin and allowed the Bulldogs to possess the ball for close to 37 minutes.

Washington State transfer QB Jayden de Laura completed 22 of 45 passes for 220 yards and three interceptions. Jacob Cowing caught seven passes for 38 yards and a score in a losing effort for the Wildcats.

North Dakota State is riding a six-game winning streak against FBS competition, so it is not surprising that no FBS school has scheduled them since 2016. I like an improved Arizona squad to take care of business at home, but take the points. Final Score Prediction, Arizona Wildcats win 30-23.
