New Mexico State at Liberty 11/26/22 - College Football Picks & Predictions

The New Mexico State Aggies travel for a road matchup against the Liberty Flames. New Mexico State is coming off a 45-14 road loss to Missouri. The Aggies QB Diego Pavia completed 6 of 17 passes for 76 passing yards and tossed 1 interception. Pavia was more of a running back on the day as he led the team in rushing with 50 yards. New Mexico State couldn’t get anything done offensively as the Missouri defense shut them down. 

New Mexico State is now 4-6 overall and in 6th place of the FBS Independents. Aggies quarterback Diego Pavia has completed 58 of 126 pass attempts for 738 passing yards this season while Star Thomas is the leading the team in rushing with 410 rushing yards and 4 rushing touchdowns so far this season. New Mexico State leading receiver Justice Powers has 323 receiving yards on 17 receptions but no touchdowns yet this season. The Aggies offense has not been good to say the least. 

The Liberty Flames take the field after a 23-22 home loss to Virginia Tech. The Flames quarterback Kaidon Salter completed 12 of 18 passes for 119 passing yards. Shedro Lewis led Liberty on the ground rushing for 64 yards on 9 carries while wide receiver Noah Frith had 4 receptions for 74 yards in the loss. Liberty played a competitive game but couldn’t find the end zone in the fourth quarter to pull out the win. 

The Liberty Flames are now 8-3 overall and tied at the top of the FBS Independents with (8-3) #18 Notre Dame. Quarterback Jonathan Bennett has 1,462 passing yards and 12 passing touchdowns so far this season while Dae Dae Hunter is leading Liberty in rushing with 850 rushing yards and 8 touchdowns. Demario Douglas leads the Flames in receiving with 899 receiving yards and 6 receiving touchdowns so far this season.
