New Mexico State vs Hawaii Picks and Prediction – 9/24/2023

The New Mexico State Aggies take a long road trip this week to Honolulu, HI for a game against the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors. For all our College Football Action see our College Football Picks. New Mexico State has been mediocre through the first four games with two wins thus far following its 10 point victory against New Mexico in their last game. Offensively the Aggies have played well averaging 33 points on 464 yards per game.

The New Mexico State offense rolled in their last game against New Mexico scoring 27 points including seventeen in the second quarter on 397 total yards of offense. Defensively the Aggies did have some issues allowing 401 total yards but gave up just 17 points after forcing one turnover in the game. Diego Pavia carried New Mexico State completing 9 passes for 203 yards and two scores, while running the ball 11 times for 96 yards to lead the team. 

Hawaii returns home this week with just one win through their first four games played following a 45 point blowout loss on the road to Oregon. The Hawaii defense has been atrocious this season allowing 36.75 points per game on 375.5 yards. Offensively Hawaii has been no match for their opponents averaging just over 23 points on 330.3 yards per game.

Hawaii was outmatched by Oregon a week ago giving up 55 points on 560 total yards including 333 through the air. The Hawaii offense sputtered immensely scoring just ten points on 201 yards after turning the ball over once and converting just two third downs.
