New Mexico at Colorado State 10/13/18 - NCAA Football Picks & Predictions

Colorado State has beaten New Mexico eight straight in this series that continues Saturday in a Mountain West game. New Mexico could get some revenge this weekend with the Lobos playing well and the Colorado State Rams struggling.

New Mexico is coming off an impressive win at UNLV and is now 3-2. The Lobos have rotated wins and losses so far this year. New Mexico is off to a 1-0 start in the conference. Colorado State is coming off a win at San Jose State and the Rams are 2-4 thus far. The Rams are 1-1 in the conference. Sheriron Jones has apparently taken over at quarterback for New Mexico. Last weekend he threw for 250 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions. The week before he had four touchdowns and three interceptions. Jones has passed for 790 yards, and 500 of that was over the last two games. For the season, New Mexico has 1241 yards passing, 15 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Tyrone Owens leads the running game with 359 ards and six touchdowns. New Mexico averages 42 points and is giving up 33. The Lobos are also giving up 447 yards per game.

For Colorado State, KJ Carta-Samuels has passed for 1623 yards, 15 touchdowns, and six interceptions. The Rams have just two rushing touchdowns on the season. Colorado State is giving up 38 points per game while averaging 25 on offense. The Rams are averaging 409 yards on offense and giving up an average of 469. The Rams are averaging 113 yards rushing.

This is one of the uglier match-ups this weekend as both teams have not been good this year. Lobos at least have shown some life in a few games so we will fade Colorado State again this week. Ugly win by Lobos, Final Score Prediction, New Mexico Lobos win and cover ATS 26-23.
