Nevada vs Western Michigan 12/27/21 - Quick Lane Bowl Picks & Predictions

The Quick Lane Bowl in Detroit, MI will host a matchup between the Western Michigan Broncos and the Nevada Wolfpack. Western Michigan finished the season struggling a bit losing three of their final five game despite closing the year with a 21 point road win against Northern Illinois. Offensively Western Michigan dominated Northern Illinois totaling 636 yards of offense to score 42 points in the game.

Kaleb Eleby drove the Western Michigan offense from the quarterback position completing 21 of 36 passes for 338 yards and five touchdowns. The Nevada Wolfpack played well this season with 8  wins through 12 games including a 42 point blowout win against Colorado State to end the season. Despite struggling on the defensive side of the ball allowing Colorado State to accumulate 443 yards Nevada forced five turnovers to hold the Rams to only 10 points in the game.

The Nevada offense was on full display against Colorado State scoring double digits in three out of four quarters after accumulating 528 total yards of offense in the game. Carson Strong completed 17 of 22 passes for 288 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Nevada offense. Tory Horton led the way for the Nevada receivers with 113 yards and two scores on four receptions, while Romeo Doubs added 97 yards and two touchdowns on five catches.
