Nebraska at Purdue 11/2/19 - College Football Picks & Predictions

Last Updated: 10/28/2019 at 3:28 PM ET

In Saturday afternoon college football action, the Nebraska Cornhuskers will visit Ross-Ade Stadium to tackle the Purdue Boilermakers. The Cornhuskers were expected to be a Top 25 team for second year head coach Scott Frost, but have split their eight games to date. On Saturday, Nebraska was torched by Indiana QB Patrick Ramsey (351 yards) during a 38-31 home loss.

The Cornhuskers rolled up 514 yards of total offense, but were unable to maintain a five-point halftime lead. Wan’Dale Robinson rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown in a losing effort for Nebraska.

The Purdue Boilermakers were also expected to make a jump in the Big Ten Conference, but have failed to live up to preseason expectations. A lower-leg injury to star WR Rondale Moore has been a key factor for the Boilermakers, who have lost six of their eight games. On Saturday, Purdue was unable to get their offense going in the rain during a 24-6 home loss versus Illinois.

Purdue QB Jake Plummer had an interception that was returned for a score and threw for just 71 yards in defeat. Zander Horvath rushed for 54 yards for the Boilermakers, who scored their only touchdown with less than six minutes remaining.

These two squads have exchanged road victories over the last two seasons and that trend will continue on Saturday. Take Nebraska to snap their three-game losing streak and get back on track with a convincing victory. Nebraska gets big bounce-back win this week, Final Score Prediction, Nebraska Cornhuskers win and cover ATS 34-24.
