The Navy Midshipmen and Kansas State Wildcats are set to visit Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium in Memphis, Tennessee as they will meet in the Autozone Liberty Bowl. The Navy Midshipmen come into this matchup with a 10-2 record, and they will be looking to continue their success after winning their recent game against the Army Black Knights, 31-7. Senior QB Malcolm Perry had a big game on the ground for the Midshipmen as he ran for 304 yards and 2 TDs on 29 carries. Sophomore FB Jamale Carothers also had a productive game on the ground for the Midshipmen as he ran for 75 yards and a TD while also adding a receiving TD.

The Navy Midshipmen were good on the defensive side of the ball as they held the Army Black Knights to 7 points and a total of 148 yards of offense. Sophomore DT J’arius Warren led the way for the Navy defense with 11 tackles. The Midshipmen were able to get into the Army backfield a handful of times as Junior LB Jacob Springer, senior DL Jackson Pittman, sophomore LB Diego Fagot, and senior LB Nizaire Cromartie combined for 7.5 TFL and 2 sacks.

The Kansas State Wildcats come into this matchup with an 8-4 record, and they will be looking to continue their success after winning their recent home game against the Iowa State Cyclones, 27-17. Junior QB Skylar Thompson struggled to get much offense generated through the air for Kansas State as he connected on 5 of his 12 pass attempts for 57 yards and 1 interception. The ground game was efficient for the Wildcats as senior RB Jordon Brown ran for 91 yards and a TD while freshman RB Jacardia Wright pitched in 60 yards and a TD.

The Kansas State Wildcats were good on the defensive side of the ball against the Iowa State Cyclones as they held them to 17 points and a total of 236 yards of offense. Senior DB Denzel Goolsby led the way for the Kansas State defense with 6 tackles. The Wildcats were able to get into the Iowa State backfield a handful of times as sophomore DE Wyatt Hubert, junior DB Jonathan Alexander, and freshman DB Lance Robinson combined for 5 TFL.

The Navy Midshipmen quietly had a great season as their only losses came against the ranked Memphis Tigers and Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and I believe they will continue playing at a high rate, especially after their big win over Army. The Midshipmen are known for their deadly ground game as they are averaging 38.6 PPG and 363.8 rushing yards per game, but their defense has also been very good as they are holding their opponents to an average of 22.8 PPG. Kansas State is battle-tested after playing in the Big 12, but their offense has shown some deficiencies, especially in the passing game as they are averaging less than 200 yards per game. QB Malcolm Perry is explosive on the ground as he brings 1804 rushing yards and 21 TDs into this game, and he will be the difference in this game. Navy will control the clock with their triple-option offense, and Kansas State isn’t built to come from behind. Final Score Prediction, Navy Midshipmen win and cover ATS 27-17.
