The Navy Midshipmen are set to visit Pratt & Whitney Stadium in East Hartford, Connecticut for an AAC clash against the UConn Huskies. The Navy Midshipmen come into this matchup with a 6-1 record, and they will be looking to continue their success after winning their recent home game against the Tulane Green Wave, 41-38. QB Malcolm Perry struggled to get much offense generated through the air as he connected on 2 of his 7 pass attempts for 68 yards, 1 TD, and 1 interception, but he was efficient on the ground as he ran for 142 yards. DB Jamale Carothers had a big game on the ground as he ran for 154 yards and 3 TDs on 14 carries.

The Navy Midshipmen struggled on the defensive side of the ball against the Tulane Green Wave as they allowed them to score 38 points and rack up a total of 477 yards of offense. Junior safety Evan Focthman led the way for the Navy defense with 9 tackles. Sophomore LB Diego Fagot had a productive game for the Midshipmen as he contributed 8 tackles and a sack while also racking up an interception.

The UConn Huskies come into this matchup with a 2-6 record, and they will be looking to continue their success after winning their recent road game against the UMass Minutemen, 56-35. QB Jack Zergiotis had a solid game through the air as he threw for 198 yards, 1 TD, and 1 interception. The ground attack was very effective for the Huskies as Kevin Mensah and Art Thompkins combined for 299 yards and 6 TDs.

The UConn Huskies struggled on the defensive side of the ball against the UMass Minutemen as they allowed them to score 35 points and rack up a total of 439 yards of offense. Freshman LB Jackson Mitchell led the way for the UConn defense with 13 tackles. Sophomore DL Travis Jones was able to get into the UMass backfield a handful of times as he pitched in 3 TFL and 1 sack. Sophomore DB Oneil Robinson contributed the lone interception of the game for the Huskies.

The favorite has dominated the number when the Navy Midshipmen and Connecticut Huskies meet as they have covered the spread in 4 consecutive meetings. The Navy Midshipmen have been very good on both sides of the ball this season as they rank 16th in points scored and 20th in points allowed which is a major problem for a Connecticut team who ranks 112th and 127th in the same categories. The Navy Midshipmen will look to pound the ball against the Huskies as Malcolm Perry has run for 934 yards and 14 TDs this season, and UConn will struggle to stop that as they allow 197 rushing yards per game. The Huskies have had no success with their QB play this year as they have thrown 8 TDs to 9 interceptions, and that won’t bode well for them here. Final Score Prediction, Navy Midshipmen win and cover ATS 42-14.
