Murray State at Texas Tech 9/3/22 - College Football Picks & Predictions

The Murray State Racers are coming into the season playing in the Ohio Valley Conference. Murray State is coming in as part of the FCS schools and have in the past have ended up having some good runs, but still have not really been that strong of a team overall.

The Racers are coming here with a strong schedule that should be one that keeps the team competitive. The start against the Red Raiders, though, could definitely start the Murray State team off on the wrong foot coming into the season.

Texas Tech is heading to the game here after finishing the year with a 7-6 record last year. The Red Raiders in their last game last year were able to finish with a win in the Liberty Bowl by a score of 34-7.

The Red Raiders are bringing in a new quarterback with it most likely being the senior winning the competition. Tyler Shough is coming in after last year going 64/92 for 872 yards with 6 touchdowns, but did have 3 picks in the game. The running back who should be the starter is SaRodorick Thompson who has ran the ball 107 times for 500 yards and 10 touchdowns. The Red Raiders are only bringing back 4 starters on offense and 7 on defense.
