The Missouri Tigers are set to visit War Memorial Stadium in Laramie, Wyoming for a Week 1 clash against the Wyoming Cowboys. The Missouri Tigers are looking to continue their success from the 2018 season as they went 8-5 with an appearance in the Liberty Bowl. The Tigers have to replace their starting QB in Drew Lock who contributed 3498 yards, 28 TDs, and 8 interceptions which they addressed this past offseason as Kelly Bryant transferred from Clemson. The ground attack should once again be strong for Missouri as Larry Roundtree III returns after contributing 1216 rushing yards and 11 TDs last season.

The Missouri Tigers were solid on the defensive side of the ball last season as they finished the year ranked 50th in points allowed, and they return some key starters this season. The Tigers bring back their leading tackler from a season ago in Cale Garrett as he is looking to repeat his 2018 campaign where he contributed 106 tackles. The secondary should once again be strong for Missouri as DeMarcus Acy is coming off a season where he contributed a team-high 3 interceptions.
The Wyoming Cowboys fell just shy of a bowl game during the 2018 season despite going 6-6, but they will need to improve on the offensive side of the ball as they finished the year ranked 119th in points scored. The Cowboys return their starting QB from the 2018 season as Tyler Vander Waal is looking to expand off his 2018 campaign as he pitched in 1310 yards, 5 TDs, and 4 interceptions. The Cowboys do need to replace their star RB as Nico Evans moved onto the NFL after contributing 1325 yards and 8 TDs last year.

The Wyoming Cowboys were one of the top defensive teams in the country last season as they finished the year ranked 19th in points allowed, but they do need to replace some key pieces. Logan Wilson will return to the middle of the defense after contributing a team-high 99 tackles and 10.5 TFL last season. Wyoming will have to replace one of their best defensive backs as Andrew Wingard ran out of eligibility after contributing 87 tackles and 2 interceptions during the 2018 campaign.

The Missouri Cowboys should once again be a threat in the SEC East as they return some key talent, and they even made a key addition with Kelly Bryant as he already has 1 National Championship under his belt. Missouri had one of the best offenses in the SEC last season, and while Wyoming had a very good defense, they have to replace a ton of key pieces. Wyoming will also be forced to throw the ball more this season, especially considering the departure of Nico Evans, but that aspect of their offense was too much of a question mark as Vander Waal was nothing of Josh Allen caliber last season. Final Score Prediction, Missouri Tigers win and cover ATS 41-17.
