The Purdue Boilermakers used a 2-quarterback set in week four leading to a 13-9 win against Illinois. Aidan O'Connell led the way for Purdue with 189 yards and one touchdown on 12-19 through the air, while back up Jack Plummer added 95 yards on 12 completions.

Milton Wright led all receivers with 88 yards on seven catches, while Abdur-Rahmaan Yaseen chipped in with three catches for 77 yards. TJ Sheffield scored the only touchdown of the day with 44 yards on four receptions.
