The Minnesota Golden Gophers bounced back in week 2 of the season with a 31-26 win over the Miami Red Hawks to get the first win of the season. Tanner Morgan led the way for the Minnesota offense going 8-17 throwing the ball for 112 yards and 2 touchdowns. Treyson Potts added 178 yards and 2 scores on 34 carries.

Defensively the Golden Gophers had issues allowing 341 total yards and 237 yards through the air. Mariano Sori-Marin led the defense with 10 tackles and 1.5 tackles for a loss. Tyler Nubin chipped in with 5 tackles an 1 interceptions for the Gophers defense.

The Colorado Buffaloes suffered their first loss of the year in week 2 with a 10-7 loss to the #5 ranked Texas A&M Aggies. Brendon Lewis struggled throwing the ball completing 13 of 25 passes on the day for 89 yards and 1 interception, while adding 91 yards on the ground on 9 carries.

Colorado shined defensively holding a top 5 ranked team to 288 yards and 10 points. Nate Landman led the way for the Colorado defensive unit with 10 tackles and 2 for a loss. Isaiah Lewis and Christian Gonzalez chipped into the defense with 6 tackles each.

Both of these teams are 1-1 after the first 2 weeks of their year looking to get things on track in week 3. Both teams have played high ranking opponents and each played well showing promise for the season.
