Middle Tennessee at Kentucky 11/17/18 - CFB Picks & Predictions

Kentucky in a tailspin as it finishes the SEC part of its season with two losses. Things may not get easier though, as the Wildcats host Middle Tennessee this week, a team that is 7-3 and leads the Conference-USA eastern division. Kentucky had the nation's eighth best scoring defense, allowing 15.3 points per game, going into last weekend. Even so the Wildcats have been outscored by 27 in each of the last two games.

Kentucky was ranked 11th before their loss Saturday. Middle Tennessee may not get ranked but the Blue Raiders have won our in a row. They have lost by large margins to the two SEC teams they have played thus far.

Middle Tennessee is led by senior quarterback Brent Stockstill, who has passed or more than 10,000 yards and 94 touchdowns. This season he has passed for 1946 yards, 17 touchdowns and five interceptions. Chaton Mobley has rushed for 326 yards and four touchdowns. 198 of that, and two scores, came in one game two weeks ago. Terelle West has rushed for 247 yards. The Blue Raiders have 12 touchdowns rushing for the season. Kentucky is led by four-year starting running back Benny Snell Jr., who has run for 1008 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also has 80 yards receiving. Terry Wilson has passed for 1214 yards, six touchdowns and six interceptions. Lynn Bowden Jr. has 500 yards receiving and three touchdowns.

Kentucky is averaging 24.7 points and holding teams to 15.3. Middle Tennessee is averaging 28.4 points and is giving up 25.9.

This Kentucky team has lost two straight thanks to it's struggling offense and think the Wildcats offense will struggle again this week. Have to take the double digits with a tough underdog Middle Tennessee team. Final Score Prediction, Kentucky Wildcats win but fall short ATS 26-17.
