Michigan State improved to 4-1 on the season following its 40-31 victory on Saturday over Indiana. Matt Coughlin hit a tiebreaking field goal of 21 yards with 5 seconds left to help give the Spartans the win. The Spartans gave up 30 points for the first time in their last 17 games.
Ohio State improved to 5-0 on the season following its 48-7 throttling of Nebraska on Saturday. The Buckeyes were expected to have a more difficult time with the Huskers but raced out to a 38-0 lead at the half and never looked back. Justin Fields had three touchdowns passes and rushed for one. The Buckeyes defense picked off Nebraska quarterback Blake Martinez three times in the Huskers first four possessions. Ohio State scored on each of its first six possessions.
