On Saturday, two Big Ten rivals ranked in the top 25 face off at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio when the No. 25 ranked Michigan State Spartans visit the No. 5 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes. Michigan State improved to 4-1 on the season following its 40-31 victory on Saturday over Indiana. Matt Coughlin hit a tiebreaking field goal of 21 yards with 5 seconds left to help give the Spartans the win. The Spartans gave up 30 points for the first time in their last 17 games.

Ohio State improved to 5-0 on the season following its 48-7 throttling of Nebraska on Saturday. The Buckeyes were expected to have a more difficult time with the Huskers but raced out to a 38-0 lead at the half and never looked back. Justin Fields had three touchdowns passes and rushed for one. The Buckeyes defense picked off Nebraska quarterback Blake Martinez three times in the Huskers first four possessions. Ohio State scored on each of its first six possessions.

Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields has 1,092 yards passing and sixteen touchdowns, while rushing for 222 yards and seven TDs. J.K. Dobbins is the leading rusher with 654 yards and five touchdowns. The leading receiver for Ohio State is Binjimen Victor with 269 yards and two touchdowns. Jordan Fuller is the leading tackler for Ohio State with 25.

Ohio State continues to dominate its opponents winning by 41 points against Nebraska, while averaging 52.4 points per game on offense which is good for No. 3 in the nation and allowing just 8.6 points per game on defense. Michigan State allowed 31 points to Indiana in a win but will face an uphill battle against the Justin Fields’ led offense of Ohio State.
