The Michigan Wolverines will be on the road this week in Columbus, OH for the top game of the day against the Ohio State Buckeyes. Michigan comes into Columbus this week ranked #3 in the nation at a perfect 11-0 on the year following a last second two point win against Illinois. Offensively Michigan had one of their worst games of the season with only 376 yards as 208 came through the air to score 19 points including nine in the fourth quarter to get the win. The Michigan defense kept the Wolverines in the game as they held Illinois to only 326 yards and 17 points after posting a shutout in the fourth quarter.
JJ McCarthy carried the Michigan offense completing 18 of 34 passes for 208 yards and ran the ball seven times for 18 yards as well. Blake Corum led all ball carriers from Michigan with 108 yards and one score on 18 carries, while Colston Loveland posted a team high 50 yards on three receptions. Ronnie Bell added 44 yards on three catches as well.
The Ohio State Buckeyes go back home this week undefeated ranked number two in the nation after a 13 point win against Maryland. Offensively Ohio State continued to roll with more than 400 total yards to score 43 points after a 33 point second half. Defensively Ohio State had issues allowing 402 yards including 318 through the air as Maryland scored 30 points after a 17 point fourth quarter.
Heisman hopeful CJ Stroud led the way for the Ohio State offense completing 18 of 30 passes for 240 yards and one score. Dallan Hayden chewed up 146 yards and three scores on 27 carries and Emeka Egbuka possibly team high 82 yards on six perceptions. TreVeyon Henderson added a 31 yards and one score on one grab.
