Miami Hurricanes - 2021 College Football Season Preview & Win Total Predictions

The Miami Hurricanes have high expectations this year as D’Eriq King returns as the starting quarterback and all but three starters return for the Hurricanes. Miami will continue its up-tempo attack on offense behind the talented King, who passed for 2686 yards and 23 touchdowns last season with only five interceptions and rushed for 538 yards and four touchdowns. If King Is completely healed from an ACL injury, the Hurricanes could have one of the nation's best offensive attacks.

Miami's running game will be a multi-headed attack with Cam’Ron Harris, Jaylan Knighton and Donald Chaney Jr. all seeing action. The leading wide receiver returning is Mike Harley and transfer Charleston Rambo from Oklahoma is a big-play threat on each play from scrimmage. The offensive line is led by tackle Zion Nelson and returns four of its five starters.

Miami's defense has the biggest question marks on the team this season. Miami lost three defensive ends that are playing in the NFL and will have several underclassmen with only a total of two games worth of experience as starters. Miami's top defensive ends will be DeAndre Johnson and Zach McCloud while Jared Harrison-Hunte and Nesta Jade Silvera busy starting tackles

The linebackers will be led by Keontra Smith, Corey Flagg Jr and Gilbert Frierson, but Amari Carter and Sam Brooks Jr will see plenty of action. The strength of the defense is the secondary which will be led by safety Bubba Bolden. Miami picked up Georgia transfer Tyrique Stevenson, who will give the Hurricanes a strong presence at cornerback.
