The Memphis Tigers are set to visit Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland for an AAC clash against the Navy Midshipmen. The Memphis Tigers come into this matchup with a 5-2 record, and they will be looking to continue their success after winning their recent home game against the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks, 56-14. QB Brady White had a productive game through the air for Memphis as he threw for 269 yards, 1 TD, and 1 interception. WR Calvin Austin III was the top target for White and the Tigers as he hauled in 10 catches for 173 yards.

The Memphis Tigers were good on the defensive side of the ball against the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks as they held them to 14 points and a total of 224 yards of offense. DL Joseph Dorceus led the way for the Memphis defense with 7 tackles, 4 TFLs, and 1 sack. The secondary had a productive game for the Tigers as DB Rodney Owens had an interception while having 2 pass breakups.

The Navy Midshipmen come into this matchup with a 3-4 record, and they will be looking to rebound after dropping their recent road game against the SMU Mustangs, 51-37. QB Tyger Goslin had a productive game through the air for Navy as he connected on 6 of his 10 pass attempts for 123 yards and 2 TDs. RB Chance Warren had a productive game on the ground for the Midshipmen as he compiled 56 rushing yards and 2 TDs.

The Navy Midshipmen struggled on the defensive side of the ball against the SMU Mustangs as they allowed them to score 51 points and rack up a total of 555 yards of offense. DB Mitchell West led the way for the Navy defense with 10 tackles. The Midshipmen were able to get into the SMU backfield a handful of times as LB Nicholas Straw, LB John Marshall, and DT Tobe Okafor had a TFL each.

The Navy Midshipmen haven’t had their traditional season as they bring a 3-4 record into this matchup, and they will have to try and shutdown a Memphis offense that is rolling on all cylinders this season. The Tigers have an explosive offense with QB Brady White (2,397 yards, 23 TDs) and WR Calvin Austin III (820 yards, 7 TDs), and they shouldn’t have much of a problem putting points on a Navy defense that gave up 51 in their last game to SMU. The Tigers will need to sell out on the Navy rushing attack as they will stick to the triple-option offense, and if Memphis is able to score points, Navy won’t be able to pass the ball to keep up. Final Score Prediction, SMU Mustangs win and cover ATS 42-24.
