Maryland at Purdue 10/12/19 - College Football Picks & Predictions

The Purdue Boilermakers return home on Saturday and will host the Maryland Terrapins. The Boilermakers got beat up in Penn State last week 35-7 and have lost three straight games. QB Jack Plummer threw for 119 yards with a touchdown. Plummer has 4 touchdowns on the season with 4 interceptions. 

Purdue is 1-4 on the season and 6th in the Big Ten West. The Boilermakers are 1-2 on their home field and 0-2 in conference action. Purdue has covered the spread in two of their five games this season. The Boilermakers last played Maryland in 2016 when they lost 50-7. 

The Maryland Terrapins will play their second straight road game on Saturday in Purdue. The Terrapins beat Rutgers 48-7 on the road last week. QBJosh Jackson threw for 179 yards and 2 touchdowns before getting knocked out of the game. RB Anthony McFarland Jr. rushed for 87 yards on 7 carries and scored 2 touchdowns. 

Maryland is 1-1 on the road this season and also 1-1 in conference games. QB Tyrrell Pigrome will step in to take Jacksons spot under center. Pigrome threw for 111 yards last week and completed 13 of 18 attempts. Maryland has covered three of their five games this season.
