Josh Jackson is coming back to lead the Terrapins offense this year. Last year Jackson went 98/207 for 1274 yards and 12 touchdowns, but 6 picks. He is one of only 2 players coming back in the non-line positions on the year. The returning leading rusher is Tayon Fleet-Davis who carried 63 times for 265 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Defensively the Terrapins are bringing back Ayinde Eley who recorded 79 tackles last year. The sack leader for Maryland did not return this year. Nick Cross did end up getting 2 picks in the game and is back this year for Maryland.

Northwestern on the year is coming back with Peyton Ramsey projected to being the starting quarterback in the game. However, Ramsey was not the leading quarterback for the Northwestern club last year. The rushing offense is bringing back Drake Anderson a backup who led the Wildcats in the rushing department last year with 154 carries for 634 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Defensively Blake Gallagher who picked the ball off 3 times and recorded 91 tackles is coming back. The second high in the tackle department, Paddy Fisher, is coming back and brings his 89 tackles. Just like Maryland, the Northwestern team has to find a new pass rushing leader as Joe Gaziano is gone this year.

This game here will be back and forth to a point. However, the Maryland team is coming to the game here with a lot of problems and that includes losing a lot of their offense and defense. Look for that to make a major difference in the game here as the Terrapins are unable to keep pace with what should be a good showing from the Northwestern team. Final Score Prediction, Northwestern Wildcats win and cover ATS 35-21.
