The LSU Tigers will travel to NRG Stadium in Houston, TX to take on the Kansas State Wildcats in the TaxAct Texas Bowl. The Kansas State Wildcats limp into bowl week riding a two game losing streak after a five point road loss to Texas. Kansas State struggled on the offensive side of the ball against Texas scoring only 17 points but were shut out in the second half after totaling 293 yards of offense.

Quarterback Will Howard threw the ball only 13 times completing nine of them for 65 yards but failed to find the end zone. The Kansas State rushing attack led the offense as the team combined for 228 yards and two scores on 35 carries. Deuce Vaughn led the way with 143 yards and one touchdown on 24 carries, while will Howard added eight carries for 82 yards and one score as well.

The LSU Tigers have been up and down all year and their lack of unity will be the difference. Kansas State has the better defense giving up 4 points less per game and will lean on that unit to get the win.
