The week two college football schedule will kickoff with an intriguing non-conference matchup between the Louisville Cardinals and the UCF Knights. The Cardinals (0-1) came into the season with plenty of hype due to an explosive offense led by senior QB Malik Cunningham. On Saturday, Louisville turned the ball over three times during a surprising 31-7 road loss against Syracuse.

Louisville RB Tyron Evans gained 89 yards on the ground and found paydirt with a 36-yard touchdown run. Cunningham was limited to 152 yards through the air and was picked off twice.

The UCF Knights are led by second year head coach Gus Malzahn and are one of the favorites to win the American Athletic Conference. In their season opener, UCF raced out to a 21 point first quarter lead and never looked back during a 56-10 home victory versus FCS South Carolina State. The Knights (1-0) outgained the outmatched Bulldogs by a 600-91 margin.

Ole Miss transfer QB John Rhys Plumlee shredded the South Carolina State secondary for 308 yards and four touchdowns. Isaiah Bower contributed 83 yards rushing and two scores for the Knights.

Louisville won last year’s meeting versus UCF by a 42-35 final score in a game that featured more than 900 yards of total offense. The Cardinals will want to get their offense going after last week’s clunker. Take the over in the rematch. Final Score Prediction, UCF Knights win 37-31.
