Louisville at Syracuse 9/3/22 - College Football Picks & Predictions

The Cardinals are heading to New York to take on Syracuse in this game. The Cardinals last year were able to finish the season barely under the five hundred mark at 6-7. The last game the Cardinals played in was a 31-28 loss to Air Force in the First Responder Bowl.

The Cardinals are bringing back 7 starters on the offensive side of the ball. One of the key starters coming back is Malik Cunningham who last year went 209/337 for 2,941 yards and 19 touchdowns, but only had 6 picks. The leading running back, outside of Cunningham, is Jalen Mitchell who last year carried the ball 155 times for 722 yards and 5 touchdowns. The defense for Louisville is bringing back 7 starters.

Dino Babbers is back to guide the Orange again this season. Last year Syracuse finished the year at 5-7 on the year and just missed making a bowl game. Now, the Orange are looking to build off of some of the success from last year.

The offense is bringing back 8 starters from the season. The quarterback is slated to be Garrett Shrader who went 123/234 for 1,445 yards and 9 touchdowns, but did get picked 4 times. The rushing leader is Sean Tucker who carried the ball 246 times for 1,496 yards and 12 touchdowns. The defense for Syracuse is also bringing back 8 starters on the day.

Syracuse is playing at home which the momentum and crowd noise should help keep Louisville off balance for a little bit. Once the Cardinals adjust to the noise of the stadium look for the offense to put on a show. Cunningham will stretch the field out and the Orange are not going to be able to keep pace in what should be a high scoring game. Final Score Prediction, Louisville Cardinals win and cover ATS 38-31.
