Austin 52-17 in Week 2. The Bulldogs were 20-point underdogs at Missouri and 6.5-point favorites against Stephen F. Austin. Both games went OVER (62 vs. Missouri, 64.5 vs SFA).

South Alabama is 2-1 after a 32-31 loss at UCLA as a 16-point underdog. The Jaguars led 17-13 at the half and 31-23 after the third quarter. UCLA pulled within two, 31-29, early in the fourth quarter after a touchdown and failed two-point conversion. Then kicked a field goal as time expired to win. The O/U for the game was 59. The Jaguars opened the season with a 48-7 win over Nicholls State, covering as a 13.5-point favorite and going OVER the total of 53. As a six-point underdog on the road at Central Michigan, they won 38-24. The O/U for that game was 57.

La. Tech quarterback Parker McNeil has completed 41 of 76 passes for 650 yards and six touchdowns with three interceptions.  Marquis Crosby is the leading rusher with 35 carries for 227 yards and three touchdowns. Harris has caught 14 for 165 yards and Allen has 6 for 152.

South Alabama quarterback Carter Bradley has completed 69 of 103 passes for 836 yards and seven touchdowns with two interceptions. Running back La'Damian Webb has scored five times on the ground with 54 carries for 313 yards. Jalen Wayne and Caullin Lacy are the Jaguars’ top receivers with 276 yards and 216 yards, respectively. Wayne has 20 receptions and three TDs, while Lacy has caught 15 passes for one score.

Expect plenty of points in this matchup given the big-play ability of both teams. South Alabama has the better defense, which gives the Jaguars the edge, but the Bulldogs should be able to score as well with a balanced attack. Limiting the big plays will be key for South Alabama. Regardless, there is little doubt that this game is going OVER 60.5. Final Score Prediction: South Alabama wins and covers 46-20.
