Louisiana at Texas State 11/26/22 - College Football Picks & Predictions

The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns will be in San Marcos, TX this week for a game against the Texas State Bobcats. Louisiana comes into this game one game below .500 after losing three of the last five games following a 32 point loss to Florida State. Defensively the Ragin’ Cajuns struggled immensely as Florida State scored 49 points after a 35 point first half on 440 total yards of offense. Offensively Louisiana did move the ball well with nearly 300 total yards but converted only four third downs and turn the ball over one time leading to the blowout loss.

Chandler Fields completed 19 passes for 159 yards and one score and ran the ball eight times for 9 yards and one score as well. Dre’Lyn Washington led all ball carriers with 57 yards on 10 carries and Terrance Williams added 40 yards on 10 carries as well. Michael Jefferson posted a team high 6 receptions for 60 yards and one touchdown.

The Texas State Bobcats will remain at home this week with four wins in 11 games played following a 3 point win against Arkansas State. Defensively Texas State played well holding Arkansas State to only 13 points and under 300 total yards in the game. Offensively Texas State had one of their better games as of late compiling 340 yards and 16 points after 13 points came in the fourth quarter.

Layne Hatcher led the way for the Texas State offense completing 23 passes for 196 yards in the game. Lincoln Pare posted a team high 75 yards and 1 score on 19 carries, while Donnovan Morrer added 54 yards on six grabs as well.
