Louisiana at Arkansas State 10/21/21 - College Football Picks & Predictions

Sun Belt Conference foes will square off on Thursday night, when the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns visit the Arkansas State Red Wolves. The Ragin’ Cajuns (5-1) are undefeated through three conference games and are headed on a collision course with Coastal Carolina in the championship game. On Tuesday, Louisiana forced four turnovers during a 41-13 home victory versus Appalachian State.

Louisiana QB Levi Lewis got the scoring started with a 3-yard touchdown run as part of a 20-point first quarter. Chris Smith added two scores on the ground for the Ragin’ Cajuns. 

The Arkansas State Red Wolves lost head coach Blake Anderson to Utah State in the offseason and have fallen on hard times. On Thursday, Arkansas State was blanked in the first half during a 52-20 home loss versus 15th ranked Coastal Carolina. The Red Wolves (1-5) were outgained by a 685-273 margin and possessed the ball for less than 24 minutes.

Corey Rucker put Arkansas State on the scoreboard with a 15-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter. Te’Vailance Hunt added a 63-yard tach for a score in a losing effort for the Red Wolves.
