Last Updated: 10/15/2020 at 6:13 PM ET

In Saturday afternoon college football action, the Liberty Flames will visit the Carrier Dome to take on the Syracuse Orange. The independent Flames have won four straight games to start the 2020 campaign and are averaging 33.5 points on average. Last week, Liberty held UL Monroe scoreless over the first three quarters of a 40-7 home victory.

The Flames outgained the Warhawks by a 400-198 margin and scored twice on special teams. Liberty QB Malik Willis threw for 177 yards and added 87 yards on the ground.

The Syracuse Orange have lost three of their first four games and have surrendered 110 points in the process. On Saturday, Syracuse trailed by ten points at halftime and was unable to recover during a 38-24 home loss versus Duke. The Orange were gashed for 645 yards of total offense and were on the wrong side of a 36-11 margin in first downs.

Syracuse QB Tommy DeVito threw for 255 yards and two touchdowns before injuring his ankle. Taj Harris hauled in six passes for 138 yards and a score in a losing effort for the Orange.

Last season was the only meeting between these two schools, with Syracuse pitching a 24-0 shutout in Lynchburg. The Orange are a mess and will likely be without their starting quarterback. Take Liberty to win on the road as a bad Syracuse team fall hard again. Final Score Prediction, Liberty Flames win and cover ATS 34-23.
