Liberty at UAB 10/2/21 - College Football Picks & Predictions

The Liberty Flames visit Legion Field in Birmingham, Alabama on Saturday to play the UAB Blazers. Liberty dropped to 3-1 following a 24-21 loss to Syracuse on Friday night.  Syracuse kicked a field goal as time ran out to defeat the Flames by three. Liberty quarterback Malik Willis passed for 205 yards with three touchdowns. Liberty held Syracuse to 305 yards of total offense and the Flames gained 369 yards of total offense.

Liberty quarterback Malik Willis has passed for 818 yards with 10 touchdowns and has not yet been intercepted but has been sacked 14 times. Willis is also the leading rusher with 274 yards and four touchdowns. Wide receiver Demario Douglas is the leading receiver with 247 yards and three touchdowns receptions. On defense, linebacker Storey Jackson is the leading tackler with 31 and defensive tackle Kendy Charles has a team-high 4.5 quarterback sacks.

UAB improved to 3-1 following a 28-21 victory over Tulane on Saturday night. The Blazers were led by quarterback Dylan Hopkins who passed for 240 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. Running back DeWayne McBride rushed for 111 yards and receiver Gerrit Prince caught six passes for 65 yards and two touchdowns. UAB held Tulane to 395 yards of total offense and forced four Green Wave turnovers.

UAB quarterback Dylan Hopkins has passed for 501 yards with seven touchdowns and one interception while the leading rusher is DeWayne McBride with 279 yards and one touchdown. Gerrit Prince leads all receivers for UAB with 269 yards and five touchdowns receptions. On defense, safety Will Boler is the leading tackler with 22 and linebacker Deshaun Oliver Jr is the leader in quarterback sacks 1.5.
