No. 12 Penn State takes on No. 16 Kentucky in the Citrus Bowl in what could be a very evenly matched game. Both teams are 9-3 and rely heavily on defense, but Penn State has one of the best quarterbacks in the nation. Penn State lost two games by a total of four points and the Nittany Lions are 1-2 against ranked teams. Kentucky is 2-1 against ranked teams. These teams last met in a bowl game in 1999.

Tracy McSorley has passed for 2284 yards, 16 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He has completed 53 percent of his passes. McSorley also has 723 yards rushing and 11 more touchdowns. Miles Sanders has 1223 yards rushing and nine touchdowns. KJ Hamler is the leading receiver with 713 yards and five touchdowns.

Kentucky is led by Terry Wilson with 1768 yards passing, 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He is completing 67 percent of his passes. He also has 517 yards rushing with four touchdowns. Benny Snell Jr. has 1305 yards rushing with 14 touchdowns. Penn State is averaging 34.6 points and giving up 20 per game. The Nitanny Lions average 215 yards passing and 208 yards rushing. Penn State is giving up 354 yards per game.

Kentucky is averaging 26.6 points and giving up 16.3. Kentucky is averaging 164 yards passing and 201 yards rushing. The Wildcats are giving up 326 yards per game.

Kentucky has not had a 10-win season since 1977. The Wildcats have been to bowl games the last two years.

This Kentucky team has an elite defense and add that with an improving Wildcats offense thanks to the added Bowl practices - looks like big performance from Kentucky in this years Citrus Bowl. Look for Kentucky to show the SEC power with nice upset against what we see as over-rated Penn State team.
