Kent State at Buffalo 11/26/22 - College Football Picks & Predictions

The Kent State Golden Flashes will be in Buffalo, NY this week for a game against the Buffalo Bulls. Kent State comes into their 12th game of the season with only four wins after losing three of the last five including a seven point loss to Eastern Michigan in their last game. Defensively Kent State struggled as Eastern Michigan accumulated nearly 460 total yards and scored 31 points including 24 in the second half to erase a 10 point halftime Kent State lead. Offensively Kent State did move the ball well with 357 total yards but to convert it only five third downs and turn the ball over once resulting in the loss.

Kent State used a two-quarterback set combining to complete 13 of 31 passes for 241 yards and one touchdown. Marquez Cooper led the way on the ground for Kent State with 80 yards and two scores on 20 carries, while Devontez Walker added a team high 121 yards on six receptions. Ja’Shaun Poke Chipped in with 105 yards and one score on six grabs as well.

The Buffalo Bulls return home this week 5-5 on the year riding a 2 game losing streak after a 4 point loss to CMU. Defensively Buffalo struggled at Central Michigan compiled 420 total yards of offense and scored 31 points after 24 came in the second half to erase a 17 point halftime Buffalo lead. The Buffalo offense moved the ball well totaling 431 yards to score 27 points but scored only three points in the second half resulting in the loss.

Cole Snyder led the way for the Buffalo offense completing 19 of 32 passes for 100 91 yards and ran the ball 12 times for 27 yards as well. Ron Cook Jr. led all ball carriers in the game for Buffalo with 100 yards and one score on 22 carries, while AL-Jay Henderson added 72 yards and one score on 16 carries as well. Mike Washington chipped in with seven carries for 41 yards and one touchdown.

This is a must have game for the Buffalo Bulls as they come into their last regular season game with only five wins on the year. Look for Buffalo to do enough to overpower a below average Kent State team leading to the win. Buffalo will get their sixth win and bowl eligibility this week with a win and cover at home.
