In Saturday afternoon college football action, the Iowa State Hawkeyes will travel to Milan Puskar Stadium to face the West Virginia Mountaineers. The Cyclones have won three of their first five games and have split their two Big 12 Conference contests. On Saturday, Iowa State put together their most complete effort of the season during a 49-24 home victory versus TCU.

Brock Purdy threw for 247 yards, rushed for 102 yards, and scored four touchdowns for the Cyclones. Deshaunte Jones contributed ten receptions for 110 yards on the afternoon.

The West Virginia Mountaineers come into this matchup for first year head coach Neal Brown with an identical record to Iowa State. On Saturday, West Virginia QB Austin Kendall threw four interceptions during a 42-31 home loss versus Texas. The Mountaineers outgained the Longhorns by a 463-427 margin, but surrendered 21 points over the final 13 minutes.

West Virginia WR T.J. Simmons caught seven passes for 135 yards and a touchdown. Kendall completed 31-for-46 passing attempts for 367 yards and three touchdowns.

West Virginia leads the all-time series with a 5-2 record, but Iowa State came away with a 30-14 home victory a season ago. The Mountaineers are a surprise to have a winning record at this point, but they will be overmatched by the Cyclones. Young Mountaineers can't do enough here, Final Score Prediction, Iowa State Cyclones 37-20.
