The Iowa State Cyclones visit Memorial Stadium in Norman, Oklahoma on Saturday to play the No. 10 ranked Oklahoma Sooners. Iowa State had a bye week during Week 10 and the week leading up to the bye lost to Oklahoma State 34-27. Brock Purdy threw three interceptions in just the fourth quarter and the Cyclones converted just 5 of 16 third downs. Purdy threw for 382 yards in the loss.

Oklahoma had a bye this weekend but fell to 7-1 with a 48-41 loss to Kansas State the week prior to the bye. Jalen Hurts played well in the loss for Oklahoma with 395 yards passing and one touchdown, while rushing for 95 yards and three touchdowns. However, two turnovers, inopportune penalties and a defensive leader’s ejection badly hurt the Sooners efforts.

Brock Purdy leads Iowa State with 2,567 yards passing, 15 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Breece Hall leads the Cyclones in rushing with 475 yards and seven touchdowns, while Purdy has six rushing touchdowns. The top receiver for Iowa State is Deshaunte Jones with 586 yards and one touchdown. Marcel Spears Jr. leads Iowa State in tackles with 60.

Jalen Hurts leads the Sooners in passing with 2,469 yards, 21 touchdowns and three interceptions, as well as in rushing with 801 yards and 13 touchdowns. CeeDee Lamb leads all Sooners’ receivers with 816 yards and 11 touchdowns. Kenneth Murray leads the Sooners in tackles with 55.

Oklahoma must run the table and win the Big 12 if it hopes to be a part of the College Football Playoff and if Jalen Hurts wants to win a Heisman Trophy. The Sooners have covered the number in 4 of the last 5 at home, in 5 of the last 7 following a bye and in 6 of the last 7 when playing an opponent with a winning record on the road. Final Score Prediction, Oklahoma Sooners win and cover ATS 38-24.
